OlliOlli World, the sequel to Roll7’s sidescrolling skate-‘em-up, will ollie to PlayStation 5 and PS4 later this year – with a bold new look. The vibrant action platformer will transport you to “Radland, a vivid world full of colourful characters, as they search for the mystical skate gods on their quest for Gnarvana”. Yeah, we’re not taking credit for the puns.
You’ll be able to customise your character’s looks, tricks, and style before you head out on your board, where you’ll be able to discover different routes and paths as you explore “skate utopia”. The developer’s promising that this edition will be more accessible than its predecessors, although there’ll still be oodles of depth for experts.
“Super tight controls combined with a highly-refined gameplay experience have always been pillars of OlliOlli,” the press release explains. “But now with OlliOlli World, the platformer ensures new players can enjoy the deep combo system and everything the game has to offer, while pros can really prove their skills, and master a vast number of moves with access to millions of unique levels in the game’s sandbox mode. Players can also compete against similarly skilled rivals around the globe in player leagues.”
The game will be published by Private Division, so this is a much higher profile effort than previous instalments. You can see from the gameplay trailer that the budget has been seriously bumped up from the franchise’s humble origins – but the developer, to be fair, has picked up a few BAFTAs since it started out. We’re excited to learn more.

I haven't played the previous two OlliOlli games, but this looks really cool. Consider me interested.
@LiamCroft You should give them a go, I think OlliOlli 2 was free with PS Plus many moons ago. Fun for a quick blast while you're killing time!
Saw this on the Indie Direct earlier. Looks very good and an improvement over the already fun OlliOlli 2.
Count me in!
Looks infinitely better than the previous ones.
@LiamCroft Definitely give them a try, they are really fun and have that "one more try" factor.
I loved the first two OlliOlli games, so I'm pretty excited for this one!
Not really sure I like the art style, I prefer the look of OlliOlli1/2 at first glance I think. I'll still play this cause I love skateboarding games and it does look like it plays similar to OlliOlli1/2 but not really feeling it yet.
The Olli Olli games are class!
No 3D enough for me. It's lacking about .5D.
